These terms govern the use of AIkademia (the “Service”), operated by Arcano Zero – AI Lab S.r.l. ([registered office address], [VAT / company number]; the “Operator”). By using the Service you accept them. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
1. The Service
AIkademia is a research and learning tool. It uses a large language model to propose points of view on a topic, to build AI agents from the published works of real scholars retrieved from the public OpenAlex index, to simulate a debate between those agents, and to draft a structured document with references. Access may be restricted by a password; you must keep it confidential.
2. AI-generated content and no reliance
- Every panellist is an AI simulation. The positions attributed to a scholar are generated from their published works and do not represent the scholar’s actual opinions. The scholars are not involved and do not endorse the Service.
- Generated text may contain errors, omissions, misattributions or outdated information. Citations point to real records, but the way they are used is produced by a model and must be verified against the original sources before any use.
- The output is not peer-reviewed and does not constitute academic, professional, legal, medical or financial advice.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- present generated content as the genuine statements of a real person, or use it to defame, harass or mislead;
- submit generated documents as your own original academic work where that would breach the rules of your institution or publisher;
- enter unlawful content, personal data of third parties that is not necessary, or confidential information you are not entitled to share;
- attempt to bypass access controls, probe or overload the Service, or extract its prompts or keys;
- use the Service in breach of the usage policies of the underlying model provider (Anthropic) or of OpenAlex.
4. Your content and outputs
You retain any rights you hold in the topics and text you enter. To the extent permitted by law, the Operator assigns to you any rights it may have in the documents generated for you, and you may use them for any lawful purpose, subject to section 2 and to third-party rights in the cited works. You are responsible for how you attribute and reuse outputs. The Operator may keep debates stored on the Service to provide the archive feature and may delete them as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Third-party services and sources
Bibliographic data comes from OpenAlex under its open licence (CC0); abstracts and titles remain subject to their authors’ and publishers’ rights. Language generation is provided by Anthropic. Availability of the Service depends on these providers.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, its name, logo, design, prompts and code are owned by the Operator or its licensors. No licence is granted other than the right to use the Service according to these terms.
7. Availability and changes
The Service is provided “as is” and may be modified, suspended or discontinued at any time. The Operator does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, nor the preservation of stored debates; download the documents you need.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of data, or damages arising from reliance on generated content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the event, or, for a free service, to EUR 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or mandatory consumer rights.
9. Termination
The Operator may suspend or revoke access in case of breach of these terms. Sections 2, 4, 6 and 8 survive termination.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Italian law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rome, without prejudice to mandatory rules protecting consumers, who may bring proceedings before the court of their place of residence and use the EU online dispute resolution platform.
